What do you expect from a moving company?. When you think of them what comes to mind?. A bunch of men with a white van and foul language?. Maybe you think of them throwing your possessions about, showing little regard for the fact that they are memories as much as a collection of ‘things’. You probably just expect them to rock up on the day and take your stuff from A to B. In many ways, the stereotypical opinion is that removal men are basically couriers, so why not use a local removal company who understands what your real demands and needs are and has spent years tailoring designing a business model to take care of those expectations for you and relieve and stresses that you may be under.

SW8 covers South Lambeth, Vauxhall and also parts of Battersea and Clapham. Lambeth itself was first recorded as Lambehitha which means a ‘landing place for lambs’. This was first noted in 1062 before a change to Lambeth in 1255. Part of the district was marshland until it was drained in the 18th century, although the history of the area is remembered with the street name Lower Marsh which has latterly become Waterloo. Lambeth Palace is located opposite the Palace of Westminster.
Nearby Vauxhall is probably more famous for giving its name to the Vauxall Motors company which originated in the area. It doesn’t appear in the Domesday Book as a result of being initially part of the extensive Manor of South Lambeth which was at the time held by the de Redvers family. It too benefitted from the draining of Lambeth Marsh which allowed the market gardens in the area to really flourish as they were more accessible to the majority of London residents. In modern times it has become more famous for the flourishing gay and lesbian scene in the area, leading it to become affectionally known as ‘Voho’.
